Why Dating on Tinder Feels More Like Being a Cop

During the course of our investigation of Tinder, we came across a recent piece written by Simone Paget and published in the Toronto Sun. In it, she discusses the reasons why the dating culture in Toronto reminds her so much of being a detective and how she has learned to navigate it.
What a fantastic essay it was, packed with fascinating dating tales ranging from deep-linking (LOL) to outright online stalking. As we continued to read the article, we were aware that its primary focus was on the changes that have occurred in the realm of dating during the past few years. Things are very different now than they were even just a few years ago due to the ease with which digital stalking technologies as well as an unending supply of possible dates can be accessed. However, the piece wasn’t as straightforward as it seemed; it also discussed why people feel the need to engage in cyberstalking, as well as why you shouldn’t and why it’s better to just enjoy yourself.
Online dating tinder vs. escorts
The fact that I work for one of the most successful escort companies in Europe, W Escorts , has provided me with the opportunity to learn a thing or two about the distinctions that exist between online dating services (such as Tinder, Bumble, or Bumbees, as they are commonly known) and escort agencies. To tell you the truth, I don’t really see much of a distinction between the two. One of them functions similarly to a back-end mutual fund. You will be required to pay fees, although these won’t be due immediately. Online dating apps are similar to escort agencies in that they allow you to view profiles of possible dates at no cost. Just like with an escort service, you won’t have to pay anything to communicate with the person you might end up dating if you use one of the various dating apps that are currently available. The one and only significant distinction is that, similar to a back-end mutual fund, you make payments after using the online dating app. When working with an escort service, payment is made in advance, and let’s be honest: no matter what you do, you will always have to pay. No matter how you cut it, a few of dinners, perhaps some beverages, or overnight entertainment are going to be necessary. Both options cost money; the question is whether one suits your needs better in terms of convenience and returns on investment. The amount charged by the escort agency is predetermined, and the agreed-upon payment must be paid in full before the date can even begin. The dating pool is so shallow that you may swipe either left or right without feeling the least bit guilty about your decision. It serves as a constant and apathetic reminder that everyone, including you, may be replaced.
Simone addresses the fundamental problem with dating in her article, which may be found here. It’s creepy…
In her essay, she says, “At the end of the day, it’s essential to keep in mind that dating can be nerve-wracking.” “Putting oneself out there” and “allowing oneself to be vulnerable” are both scary things to do.
We couldn’t agree with her more, what a fantastic post was written in a smart tone, and it is a true must read if you’ve ever felt wondering if your next date knows a little bit too much about you before the date even starts.
